2022-23 Welcome Letter
Dear GGTC gymnasts and parents,
We are so excited to bring back the Big Sister / Little Sister program at Greenville Gymnastics for the 2022-2023 competition season! This is a program in which a younger gymnast (“Little Sister”) is paired with an older gymnast (“Big Sister”) in hopes of creating interactions and building relationships between gymnasts of all levels on the GGTC team. The main goal of this program is encouraging each other - this is not about physical gift giving; although, always appreciated. A sticky note of inspiration on their locker or a sweet card left for them is all that is asked.
We want this program to be fun and beneficial for all gymnasts involved. There are a few basic guidelines that we ask for everyone to follow; as a little bit of structure tends to make programs like this one run much smoother.
We want to emphasize that you do NOT have to spend money on something every month - drawings, notes, or other similar gifts are wonderful options that are greatly appreciated! If you choose to buy a gift, please do not spend more than $5 each month, so that we can keep the focus on relationships instead of the gifts.
In order to make this program as successful as possible, we ask that you please fill out the attached Google Form no later than AUGUST 15th with the requested information in order to help us pair gymnasts with their gym sister, and to allow the gym sisters to learn a little bit about each other.
We are so grateful for your help in making the Big Sister / Little Sister program a success and hope that you are as excited about this program as we are!
Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions!
Thank you!
Eve Pistolis and Anne-France Courrier

- Please do something for your gym sister every month using the themes from Big Sis Little Sis Calendar.
- We also ask that you give your gym sister a card or small gift when it comes time for her birthday.
- If your Gym Sis does not have a locker, please put the Gym Sis name on the item and give it to the coaches to keep in the coaches office. Get in touch with your gym sis/parent and let them know something is waiting for them.
- Last, but not least, HAVE FUN!!

Parents:
Once paired, you will have the phone number and email your Bigs/Littles. This is a great time to also connect with a parent who has been doing this a long time.
Sometimes the kids need a reminder, especially the olders, keep up with the emails.
Set a reminder on your child's calendar or phone for each month. Include the theme.
